Almost 7 million people in the U.S. are suffering from Alzheimer's. That means there are 7 million families, countless friends, and caregivers who are also burdened by this disease that has no cure. Today's my birthday and I'm releasing this song in honor of my mom who we lost more than 10 years ago. We had to walk her home. It was a comfort to me, that she didn't have to travel down that road alone.
If you've been touched by this disease, I feel you. If you're a caregiver, I see you. You are not alone. 💜
I would be grateful if you'd listen and share this song today. Alzheimer's Month is September. Please donate to find a cure.
Lyrics
You ask my name
And catch me by surprise
Married fifty years
I've never left your side
This long goodbye
Is breaking me in two
Every day
I lose more of you
It's a long road down alone
I can see you're weary to the bone
I'll walk you Home
I'll walk you home
I'll walk you home
I search your eyes
And pray I see
The forever love
You shared with me
This tangle of time
Stole your mind away
I'll hold your hand
And pray for one good day
It's a long road down alone
I can see you're weary to the bone
I'll walk you Home
I'll walk you home
I'll walk you home
It's a long road down alone
I can see you're weary to the bone
I'll walk you Home
I'll walk you home
I'll walk you home
